Eternal Destruction for Sinners and Relief for Beleivers

2 Thessalonians 1:4-10 (ESVST)
Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring. 5 This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering —

The patience and faith that those Christians in Thessalonica had in all their persecutions and troubles that they were enduring, is the evidence that God uses to justify his consideration of these Christians, worthy of the kingdom of God for which they are suffering.

6 since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels 8 in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, 10 when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

The above verse 6-9 can really be summarized in the following manner:
6 since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction,
The rest of the words that I have removed, expand or supply additional information but the above summary, is the crux of the matter.
Those that are responsible for persecuting and causing troubles to Christians, will suffer eternal destruction away from the presence of God and from the might of His Glory, when The Lord Jesus is revealed with his mighty angels. This is because God considers it just to repay with troubles, those who cause troubles for Christians.

The non Christians or the unbelievers will also suffer the same fate as those that persecuted Christians. They will also suffer eternal destruction away from the presence of God and from the might of His Glory. Jesus will come with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting or delivering or granting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse 10 indicates that on that day when Jesus comes, he will be glorified by his saints and marveled or admired by all who believed. These are those who have believed the Good News of the Gospel of Truth that, Jesus is Savior and Lord.

The question is which one are you? Are you looking forward to the revealing of Jesus on that day to admire him or to be eternally destroyed by him?
