2. THE JUDGMENT FROM GOD AGAINST AN UNREPENTED SINNER
Romans 1:24-32 (ESVST)
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
The very same unrepented sinners who although God had made himself known among them through the prophets, through Jesus, through the bible and through creation, rejected him. The very same unrepented sinners upon whom God’s wrath is revealed because they suppress the truth with their disrespect towards God and their immoral nature, God gave them up. This means God abandoned them. God abandoned them to continue in the lusts of their hearts, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves. In other words, God allowed them to be unrestrained, to go on this road that will only lead to their destruction. This is a serious judgment from God because it is only with God that we can restrain ourself from the lust of our hearts. Without God, there are no restraints and being abandoned to the lust of our hears means, to be allowed to pave our way to eternal hell.
God abandoned them because they rejected the truth from the true God and chose a lie. They then created themselves other gods and worshipped them instead. Instead of the creator, they worshipped the creation. For this, God abandoned them and abandons you now if you will not repent, to the lusts of your heart and the dishonoring of your body. If you are a sinner right now, and you don’t want to repent, my brother or sister, I suggest you rethink your decision. You don’t want to be abandoned by your own creator. It is a path that will only lead you one way, to your utter and complete eternal destruction.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
As I was saying above, if God abandons you to the lust of your heart because you will not repent, it can only lead to eternal destruction. The people of Sodom and Gomora were destroyed because of homosexuality. The level of homosexuality in Sodom and Gomora was so bad that the men even wanted to have sex with the angels that came to see Lot. Lot tried to give them his two daughters (which I think was stupid for Lot to do) but they refused. This is what happens when God abandons you to the lust of your heart. Things get completely out of hand very quickly as well.
Genesis 19:5-9 (NLTse)
They shouted to Lot, “Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!”
6 So Lot stepped outside to talk to them, shutting the door behind him. 7 “Please, my brothers,” he begged, “don’t do such a wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two virgin daughters. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do with them as you wish. But please, leave these men alone, for they are my guests and are under my protection.”
9 “Stand back!” they shouted. “This fellow came to town as an outsider, and now he’s acting like our judge! We’ll treat you far worse than those other men!” And they lunged toward Lot to break down the door.
Today, it is even legal to be a homosexual. If anyone speaks against homosexuality, the person is labelled undemocratic and intolerant. The bible has completely being thrown aside and the wisdom of man which is foolishness in the eyes of God, has now been implemented. This is the reason why I said that we are no different to these men who although they knew God, they chose to reject him. Sinners today who will not repent, are doing exactly that. They continue to reject God and what he stands for. Instead they rely on their own wisdom and man made gods. Today when you preach the only True God who appointed the crucified and resurrected Jesus, you are being told that you are not tolerant to other religions. We are heading for a collision course with the world because as Christians, we are unable to reject God and what he stands for and soon, we will be persecuted for this. I can just see Christianity being termed as an intolerant religion and banned.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God ‘s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
Not only did God give them up or abandon them to the lust of their hearts but, God also abandoned them to their debased or unworthy or worthless minds to do what ought not to be done. Again here we see God removing the mind restraints as he did with the hearts restraint. Again this will only lead one way, and that is to eternal destruction. Again, without God as a restrainer, things can go only one way fast, and that is to hell. The things mentioned in verse 29-31, illustrates what happens when God is no longer restraining our minds. They will do all these evil things even though they know that doing them, leads to eternal death. Not only will they do them but, they will also give approval,to others to do them as well.
My brother and my sister, if you don’t want to repent, you are only bringing upon yourself abandonment by God which will allow your heart and mind to go unrestrained and this will only lead you to eternal utter destruction. You will not be able to restrain yourself and from there you will only await eternal death. We are all sinners and we all deserve to die. Look at the Ten Commandments. How easy is it to comply with the commandments? How many times have you broken anyone of them? If you are human, the answer is, a lot of times. You have lied, stolen, lusted in your heart, gotten angry, disrespected your parents, disobeyed sabbath, etc. you have continuously broken anyone of the Ten Commandments. Remember that if you break one, you break all of them

For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.
The difference between a Christian and an unrepented sinner is that, a Christian acknowledges that he is a sinners and cannot save themselves from sin and, as a result rely upon the mercy and grace of God that can only be accessed through his Son Jesus Christ. Whereas an unrepented sinner will not accept that he is a sinner and he rejects God for what he is and what he stands for.

“O God, I acknowledge that I have sinned against you. I am sorry for my sins. I am willing to turn from my sins. I openly receive and acknowledge Jesus Christ as my Savior. I confess him as Lord. From this moment on I want to live for him and serve him. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
