Why must we all Glorify God and How? Part 2

Now that we know why we must glorify God, how can we glorify him? What can we do or don’t do, say or don’t say to glorify God? How can we as human beings glorify God?

We can glorify God by:
Confessing Jesus Christ as Lord

and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Confessing our sins
Joshua 7:19 (NLTse)
Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, give glory to the L ord, the God of Israel, by telling the truth. Make your confession and tell me what you have done. Don’t hide it from me.”
Glorifying Christ

Being faithful to God
1 Peter 4:11 (NLTse)
Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
Giving thanks to God
Psalms 50:23 (ESVST)
The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;
to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!”
Relying and Trusting in God’s promises
Romans 4:20 (NLTse)
Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.
Suffering in the name of Christ
1 Peter 4:16 (ESVST)
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.
Being patient during afflictions/ trials
Isaiah 24:15 (NLTse) (Read with Isaiah 24:1-3)
In eastern lands, give glory to the L ord. In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the L ord, the God of Israel.
Dying for God

(This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “ Follow me.”
Doing everything for God
